Accountability: What Is It?
Accountability is the need or willingness to take ownership of one's actions. When someone takes ownership, they are committing to producing successful outcomes. Being accountable means that a person understands and is prepared to accept responsibility for the outcomes of their actions in the areas where they have been granted authority.
